Job Title: Social Media & Content Marketer
Location: Sunshine Coast, Australia
Position Type: Part-time, 6 month maternity contract
2-3 days a week
Smith Madden is seeking a creative, organised, and digitally savvy Social Media & Content Marketer to lead social media management, email marketing, and copywriting across Smith Madden and paper mâché magazine. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, understands tone of voice, and can confidently bring brands to life across digital channels.
You’ll work closely with our Account Director, Creative Director, and Marketing Manager to produce polished, on-brand content that engages our audiences, supports campaigns, and strengthens our brand presence.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
Plan, create, and schedule content for Smith Madden and paper mâché social channels.
Develop monthly content calendars, social concepts, and mood boards.
Write strong, brand-aligned captions and social-first copy.
Upload and optimise content across social platforms.
Monitor engagement, interactions, and growth across platforms.
Email Marketing
Plan, write, and build email campaigns in Mailchimp and/or Klaviyo.
Develop automations and nurture flows where required.
Maintain email content calendars and support subscriber growth initiatives.
Analyse email performance and optimise for improved engagement and conversions.
Copywriting
Write engaging copy for social media, blogs, websites, campaigns, and creative editorials.
Produce polished editorial-style content for paper mâché magazine (digital).
Support client campaign copywriting when required (ad copy, landing pages, taglines).
General Content Support
Assist with PR articles, digital stories, and branded content across agency clients.
Support broader marketing campaigns with content creation where needed.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on optimisation and analytics
Requirements
Proven experience in social media management and digital content creation.
Strong copywriting skills with excellent grammar, tone, and attention to detail.
Experience with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar email platforms.
Confident using scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Planoly, etc.).
Understanding of analytics and reporting across social and email.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Experience with lifestyle, hospitality, or design-led brands is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or similar (preferred)
